가사가 너무 길어서 가사 해석 달고 수정하고 하는데 두 시간은 걸린 것 같다.

가사를 보면 알겠지만 흔하디 흔한 사랑 얘기하는 노래가 아니다.

다소 진지한 주제를 노래 하는데 싱글 맘에 관한 내용이다.

밤 일을 하며 아이를 키우는 싱글 맘 이야기를 다루는데 이런 주제로도 노래를 할 수 있구나 싶어서 참신했다. 실제로 작곡에 참여한 작곡가의 아들을 위한 노래다.

다들 이 노래를 들었을 때 이런 충격적인 가사가 있는지 몰랐을 거라고 생각한다.

흥겨운 멜로디에 슬픈 가사라니...

Rockabye는 rock-a-bye-baby 라는 동요에서 따온 것으로 추측되며 자장 자장이라는 의미를 가지고 있다. 

캘리포니아에 살고 있는 친구한테 물어 보니깐 이렇게 알려 주더라. 내가 생각해봐도 맞는 것 같긴하다.
